The needs of gifted children vary with age, character, degree of maturity and personal history.
At school, they almost always suffer from an unsuitable rhythm, isolation due to reduced exchanges with others for many reasons. Later, in middle school, a lack of method and meaning of the effort confuse teachers who see well the intelligence of the child.
In France parents struggle to find answers in mainstream schools, especially when they are not in a big city.

Children often say themselves that they suffer from a lack of "method". As they do not feel the need in primary schools, the difficulties start to arise in 5ème, and even more in 4ème, where the programs are somewhat more complex. The answers do not come, and the way to get them is not visible, the sense of effort having not been developed. Many gifted teenagers hence no longer know how to give themselves the means to succeed.
Hattemer provides structure, benchmarks, methods that will enable youngsters to learn with confidence and the older ones, in secondary school, to write down on paper the answers and ideas that are jostling in their head.
